2- The secret diary of Adrian Mole

The book starts at 1 January. Adrian makes some resolutions for the New Year. He was angry with his mother because she didn’t give him healthy food. In January his parents were ill and Adrian looked after his parents. The neighbour, Mr. Lucas, visited Adrian's mother very often, even when she recovered and he gave her presents. At school there was a new girl, Pandora, and Adrian was in love with her. Adrian joined a group called the Good Samaritan, when he did social work. Adrian had to take care of a man 89 years old, Bert Baxter. When he visited him for the first time he got upset, because Bert was an awful old man, had a very dirty house and a scary dog. And when Adrian discovered that his best friend was going out with Pandora, he felt very depressed. Adrian's mother visited Mr. Lucas very often and after a few days she got a job in the same office as Mr. Lucas and she rode to work with him every day. His parents discussed. Barry Kent, a deer of Adrian demanded money. Adrian couldn’t pay him, so he started to round paper. In March, his father told him that he and his mother were getting a divorce. Later, his mother went to live with Mr. Lucas and his father and Mr. Lucas had a fight. Adrian's father had money problems, and his father began going out with a horrible woman from work, Doreen Slater. A month later in Adrian's house there was more food and electricity was cut off. But his grandmother hear about the situation with Barry Kent and she visited him and came back with all the money that Adrian gave him. Adrian's father lost his job and began to smoke and drink alcohol. Adrian and Pandora fell in love. Bert Baxter was ill and the ambulance took him to hospital. After a few weeks, Bert escaped and he stayed in the house of Adrian. After that Bert Baxter moved into the house of the neighbours of Adrian, an Indian family. In June, Pandora went or holiday to Tunisia where she was ill. Adrian went of holidays to Scotland with his mother and Mr. Lucas. After his holidays Bert returned home, so Adrian Pandora and cleaned your house. In October, Bert had to go to an old people’s home because he had troubles with his legs, but after a time he was very happy there because he loved Queenie, a woman that lived in old people’s home , too. In November his mother, sent a telegram, which said she was coming home, and his parents fell in love again. In January Bert Baxter married Queenie. His father finally found a job. Adrian and Pandora had a fight, but after a few days, they sorted it out. In the book Adrian explained now his body, the spots, the chin ... The diary ends a day after Adrian’s birthday.
